Libbie Summers I am OBSESSED!!! These recipes are to DIE for, I mean come on, cookies with bacon. Ah-Maze! One of the many wonders Libbie shows us amateur foodies how to make. Not to mention how to cure your own bacon, how to crown roast, and many other scrumptious plates. I can’t wait to begin my culinary hog  journey.

Hello fellow foodies, so other than yesterday being Grammy’s Sunday, it was also Food Truck Sunday on my side of town. @FoodTruckBazaar Once again met behind the Fashion Square Mall on Colonial Dr, Orlando FL.

This time it was just a quick stop, but still finger licking goooood.

As always @TwistedCubanMFT #TheTwistedCuban truck did not disappoint with their fresh mojo roast pork tacos, topped with creamy yet crunchy coleslaw , BBQ guava sauce and a light cilantro lime dressing. Of course we couldn’t leave the Spanish food truck without a side order of Tostones, which were crisps and golden to perfection, also served with a mojo [dipping] sauce.

I have been craving seafood for more than a good while now, to be more specific to my crave; soft shell crab. Which is exactly what I found in this array of Food Trucks, there is always something for EVERYONE.

I can only describe my level of excitement when I walked passed other fellow food enthusiast enjoying this sort of BLT. As a leaned over, almost dipping my head into their plastic plates looking at their perfectly put together dish in desperate need to know I asked what they were having and where did they get it from.

@5gastronomy food truck as they pointed ahead, I speed walked my way through the crowds finally reaching an ever bigger crowd waiting for their ordered to be called.

The aroma was almost speaking to me, as a lady in front took what seemed to be the lobster mac n cheese which, I am definitely having next time around.

Like a kid in a candy store I quickly got to the front and ordered my soft shell crab BLT; which is two soft shell crabs in a kaiser roll with this sort of tomato confit , bacon bits and fresh lettuce, garnished with pommery aioli mustard. It was and believe me when I say this “to die for”. Seriously, can not wait to try the rest of their menu. I did also order a side of fries which where pretty good, but a lil salty for my palette.

Overall, like always satisfied with the work of @thefoodtruckbazaar @thedailycity and their amazingly tasty trucks.

Looks scrumptious right? Well like, the phrase we’ve heard more than once, looks can be deceiving.

Im talking about Hot Dog Heaven located in Orlando, FL on East Colonial drive. I often drove by the spot intrigued by the title and location of the spot. I am usually on the look out of independent eateries like this one, so I finally talked by boyfriend into stopping for a quick Sunday brunch.

The place looks inviting ,on this given day it was packed. So, we walked in hopeful for an amazing delight. Little did we know. The line was long, which is almost always a good sign as we read the menu the toppings sounded exiting giving us more hope of a great hot dog.

I ordered the sauerkraut dog and my boyfriend ordered the jumbo Chicago dog. They both look extremely delicious, I’ll give them that. But looks don’t satisfy the taste buds.

I’ve had better hot dogs. I researched the place and it’s been around for about 25 years, maybe people enjoy cheap and tasteless dogs.

I highly doubt that’s the case.

The dogs were tasteless, rubbery, and honestly cheap quality and taste wise. On the other hand the actual prices range from $3.50 and $7.00

The fries were OKAY, not bad , but not great. I feel like the Mc Donald fries are just as good or even better. The side orders of mac and cheese was somewhat passable, once again lacking taste, the beans were as simple as they have ever gotten, the only good side order I enjoyed was their coleslaw which was disappointing, due to  the name being Hot Dog Heaven not “Just Okay Slaw”.

It seems the business it’s doing okay, and people that haven’t had a real Chicago hot dog enjoy this establishment and their food. Me, well I’ll just keep driving around Central Florida in search of a better hot dog.
